In this episode, we talk about the OHBM Student Postdoc interest group with particular emphasis on what they offer in terms of mentoring and meeting related workshops. While Carolina and Michele are active members of this group, Alex Fornito has been an active mentor to several junior OHBM members over the years through this group. We discuss the mentorship program, the workshops at the meeting, as well as what good mentorship is and why it’s needed more than ever as the stresses and demands of students and postdocs is increasing with an ever more demanding professional climate. I also share my own views of the potential for this group to impact the OHBM community even more.
